An anthology of learning to shop in the bulk section: PNW
I love Winco’s bulk section! Grind your own peanut butter, sesame crackers, humus powder, honey, candy, and a DIY trail mix with all kinds of good stuff, huge bags of rice, and a variety of different snacks and crackers perfect for a zero-waste lunch.
Your local co-op is a whole new level. Bulk tofu, CBD kombucha on tap, vegan protein powder, frozen fruits and veggies, cheese, vinegars, oils, teas and spices, beauty products, and SCOBY’s! If you haven’t thought about fermenting your own beverages now is the time. I promise you can make all you’ll need at a fraction of the cost. There’s plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to brew it. Once I get a bit more knowledgable on the subject I’ll be sure to write something up!
Fred meyer had beef-less—which I had never seen—and chicken-less bouillon powder! Good place for rice, grains, nuts, and spices. Good in a pinch but not the best selection.
